Opportunity Corridor

The landscape component for this exceptionally transformative project will establish this new roadway connection from Interstate 490 into the heart of University Circle as a “planned boulevard.” The lack of economic activity that had befallen this area in decades past will be reversed as Opportunity Corridor will drive new traffic through it, bringing with it the potential for growth, jobs, and better access between two major commercial hubs in Cleveland. Boulevard Studios provided technical plans for the roadway enhancements on half of Phase 3, collaborating closely with a partnering landscape architecture firm on the other half as well as project lead Michael Baker, achieving successful completion of the construction documents at every project milestone.

Work on Opportunity Corridor involved working within a unique delivery system managed by the project lead, adhering to specific ODOT formatting, and carefully following guidelines for the safe placement of landscape material for particular speed limits, curve radii, and sight triangles.
